Meet the Team
Laura Steen DC - Principal Chiropractor
Laura graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2003, a native of Scotland she was keen to return after university and has enjoyed working locally ever since. Having always been keen on sport growing up and having Chiropractic treatment in her teens it seemed an obvious career choice. Although her professional interests have changed over the years Laura still enjoys working with sports people of all levels, since having her own children has taken a keener interest in pregnancy and paediatric Chiropractic.
Being part of peoples' treatment journey, helping them not only get out of pain, but function better, have an improved quality of life and achieving their goals however big or small is a huge privilege. Laura has been lucky enough to work with some incredible people, hearing their stories is a huge part of what makes every day different!
Laura is registered with the GCC (General Chiropractic Council), SCA (Scottish Chiropractic Association), a Licentiate member of the RCC (Royal College of Chiropractors) and member of FICS (International Sports Chiropractic Federation).
Brenna Farquharson DC - Chiropractor
Nicola Cuthbertson - Chiropractor
Originally from Falkirk Nicola was keen to return to her native Scotland on graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. Nicola enjoys working with the variety of people that come to see her for chiropractic care, treatment can be of benefit at any age! Nicola gets a great buzz out of being able to help people get the same benefit from treatment that she experienced. Like Brenna, Nicola utilises Dry Needling techniques to supplement her chiropractic and soft tissue techniques. Nicola is a member of the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC) and is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC) Reg No.

Adam works both here at the Grekin Clinic in Forfar as well as Active Health in Broughty Ferry.
Laura Deacon - Sports Massage Therapist
Laura started in the fitness industry in 2000 teaching a range of classes. Her own back problems led to her training in Pilates and long term condition rehabilitation and as a Personal Trainer. Laura started to get more involved in this type of work and quickly realised that Hands On Massage would accelerate recovery. In 2019 Laura undertook an HND in Sports Massage at Perth College. She was so interested in how the body can recover with massage that she trained further to obtain a degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.
Her family keeps her motivated and grounded to the life/work balance, but her guilty pleasures are her animals, Simba the dog and Sammy her horse.
Laura will treat anyone with an injury; not just necessarily a sports injury. She will treat the everyday person with chronic injuries from work or lifestyle to sports/fitness injuries or somebody recovering from surgery. Laura has suffered personal injuries and physical difficulties herself throughout her life so she can share an empathy with those struggling and how it can affect someones quality of life.
Over time Laura has also received treatment from Chiropractors, Physios, Podiatrists and of course Sports Massage Therapists who have enabled her to carry on working and with life. Laura loves being able to treat people and hear or see how it has made a positive impact to their life and that is why she loves the job that she is doing today.
Liz Taylor - Receptionist
Liz is one of our friendly receptionists at the Grekin Clinic. Liz has been part of our team here in Forfar for the past 12 years. She loves working alongside her enthusiastic colleagues and loves meeting both new and existing patients. Liz is always there on a Thursday at the other side of the desk and at the end of the phone to help you book an appointment as well as being on hand to help solve any queries you may have. She is one of those people who just instantly puts you at ease is there for you to chat to when you are in for a visit. Her eldest daughter Kim also is part of our team.
Lorraine Johannesson - Receptionist
This is Lorraine who is part of our front desk team who is just as important as our practitioners and often who you will meet first when you come into the clinic. Three things you might not know about Lorraine;
1. She is a Jill of all trades as yet master of none (we aren`t convinced of that)
2. She is part of Perth Racecourse Summer Team
3. Lorraine is never happier than when she is mucking about in the great outdoors.
Kim Taylor - IT/Computing
Kim is part of the team at the Grekin Clinic. She is the eldest daughter of Liz Taylor our receptionist. Many of you will not have seen much of her and that's because she has been working away behind the scenes doing a lot of the computer based tasks such as helping to build our clinics website. Kim enjoys watching lots of movies & TV shows. She loves getting lost in a good book that she can't put down. Kim`s family & friends are important to her so she spends as much time as she can with them as there is always a giggle to be had. Kim loves her coffee and her chocolate = A VERY HAPPY KIM! Kim shares her home with her "house" cat Lola who she adopted from Cats Protection. The pair of them are inseparable & she is Kim`s world: "Crazy Cat Lady ALERT!" - her words not ours!
